- About the Album:
- Caymmi is the debut instrumental album by the London-based jazz trio Djangada. Released in 2022, the project reimagines and pays homage to the legendary singer-songwriter from Bahia Dorival Caymmi. The trio derives its name from jangada, the traditional fishing boats of Northeastern Brazil often depicted in Caymmi’s folklore-rich compositions. Djangada is Sam Watts – Piano/Matheus Nova – Bass/Marcinho Pereira – Drums.
