- About the Album:
- History of the Vibraphone is a jazz tribute album by American vibraphonist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Wolf. It was released in 2024, by Cellar Music Group. The concept for the album was heavily inspired by Anthony Smith's book, Masters of the Vibes, which features intimate interviews with historical giants of the instrument. Wolf designed the record to honor nine of the most influential vibraphone players in jazz history, adapting pieces either written by or famously associated with them.
