- About the Album:
- Bona Fide is the fifth studio album by Kansas City-born smooth jazz bassist, writer, and producer Julian Vaughn. It was released in 2017, under the Trippin 'N' Rhythm Records label. Vaughn, heavily inspired by the late legendary bassist Wayman Tisdale, designed the album to showcase his growth not just as a lead instrumentalist, but as a producer and writer. The record blends his signature melodic lead bass lines with a rich tapestry of cool grooves, R&B, soul, and gospel influences.
